“One of the things that Square offers entrepreneurs after they have signed up for Square and gotten going that is like a super benefit is their internal loan program.
I'm not an entrepreneur that comes from wealth. I remember reading one time in an article that you cannot start a small business unless you have six months worth of savings. Like, literally discouraging people who are starting small businesses from starting them, unless you had that network or financial net to lean into. And that was so unrealistic for so many of the makers and members of my community that are out here hustling.
That loan program is actually amazing. Square has been a really awesome platform in terms of really connecting to the needs of entrepreneurs and small local makers."
