Restaurants are turning to AI technology to build on all the advantages they’re already getting from automation tools. Many are starting with general business applications that help them improve how they interact with guests, like chatbots/virtual assistants and voice-enabled ordering. Nearly half of respondents are venturing into AI technology for content generation. (See Chart 3.)
Fewer are using AI in back-of-house operations. But for those who are, they’re mostly turning to AI in areas where they’ve already made use of automation, including sentiment analysis and content creation. (See Chart 4.)
