5. Off-premises services
Offering traditional services outside of the salon or spa isn't a new concept, but customers are still interested in the perks of off-premises beauty services. Offerings could include at-home hair, makeup, massages, or group services that cater to a party of clients, like wedding hair and makeup or group facials.
Making “house calls” or otherwise providing services on-demand gives businesses a way to meet the needs of individuals who can’t make it to the salon or spa for mobility, accessibility, scheduling, or other reasons. It can also give salons a competitive edge by appealing to existing or new customers who are accustomed to getting products sent to their homes when they want them using on-demand delivery services.
If you find that one of your classes or tutorials is a hit with customers, consider offering the class as an off-premise service. For example, a popular three-part facial course could be packaged as an off-premise service for a party of clients, where you host your class in a client's home. This way, you're able to connect with new customers, sell products, and market your business to a group of potential new clients.
