To understand what guest preferences and menu trends restaurant leaders expect this summer, Square partnered with Industry Dive to survey U.S. restaurant leaders. One hundred fifty-one restaurant leaders from Charlotte, North Carolina, Sacramento, California, and St. Louis, Missouri, participated in the online survey.
Restaurant leaders are preparing for a dinner rush and expect more in-person diners this summer compared to last year.
Kombucha, turmeric ginger, and scooped bagels will hit menus, while leaders worry about keeping seasonal produce in stock.
To meet expected demand, teams are leveling up their menus across all meal categories, including appetizers, entrees, desserts, and beverages.
