Training
Get staff up to speed in record time.
When a new employee joins a busy restaurant, there’s a lot they need to learn – and fast.
To help them (and you), create an onboarding checklist so you can cover everything they need to know in priority order. Start with your safety guidelines and emergency procedures. Take them on a tour of the premises and introduce them to the team, then pair them with a mentor who can help complete their training.
A key part of the onboarding process is showing new starters how to use the equipment, including your POS system. With Square, this is one point you can tick off your checklist in no time.

“It takes less than a half hour to onboard the staff on the POS system,” said Joss Webber, owner of The Pigs Nose Inn. “People who have come from other POS systems say that the Square system is by far the easiest to use.”
Even if your new employee has never seen a POS before, there’s no barrier to entry.
As long as staff members can use a smartphone, I can set them up on Square quickly and easily.”
